While being known as Calobo’s debut release, this would actually be their second. 200 copies of a live show on cassette, “Live at Espresso Roma”, would be their first. The making of this self-titled CD would also launch the Calobo-owned “Padre Productions”, which would eventually host a roster of more than 20 bands. Padre Productions served as a record label, booking agency, publicity firm, marketing staff, etc.
